Who loves to walk and discover step by step the nature will find in Villasimius beautiful paths both along the steep coasts that, inland, on the hills surrounding the village.
One of the most accessible walks is undoubtedly the climb to the Tower of Cala Giunco (which can also be done on horseback) from which you can admire one of the most beautiful views of Sardinia.
Following our advice you can also climb the hairpin bends that lead to the Conca Arrubia to admire all our territory from above or follow the trails up to the Forest of Minniminni that dominates the whole SudEst coast.
For mountain enthusiasts, not far from Villasimius is the Natural Park of the Sette Fratelli: a natural oasis with forests, woods, streams, cliffs, nuraghe; the ideal place to learn about the fauna and flora of Sardinia surrounded by breathtaking views and interesting attractions such as the one represented in the hills of nearby Castiadas, from the state forest of S’Acqua Callenti.
Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons for trekking on the surrounding hills, while in the summer months, the territory away from the beaches is drier and slightly sultry.
